We understand the importance of service animals and emotional support animals (ESA’s) for many of our guests. Our pet policy is designed to comply with North Carolina laws to ensure the best possible accommodations for all guests.
Service Animals
In accordance with North Carolina laws and theAmericans with Disabilities Act (ADA), TRUE service animals are welcome at our properties. A service animal is defined as a dog that has been individually trained to do work or perform tasks for an individual with a disability. There is no additional fee for a service animal.
Emotional Support Animals (ESA’s)
Emotional Support Animals (ESA’s) provide comfort and support to individuals with emotional or mental health conditions. While ESA’s are not granted the same access rights as service animals under the ADA, we recognize their importance and are committed to accommodating ESA’s to the best of our ability.
Disclosure and Accommodation
To ensure we can accommodate your needs, it is required that you disclose your service animal or ESA prior to booking. This allows us every effort to find a suitable property for your stay. Please note the following: Disclosure Requirement: Guest must inform us of their service animal or ESA during the booking process. Failure to disclose this information in advance may limit our ability to provide appropriate accommodations.
- Property Selection: While we will make every effort to accommodate guests with emotional support animals, not all properties in our portfolio are suitable for pets. Out team will work with you to identify a suitable property that meets your needs.
- Documentation: For ESA’s, we require verification documentation from a licensed healthcare professional be emailed to [email protected]
- Pet Fees: There are no pet fees for Service Animals. Emotional support animals are subject to a $250+ tax non-refundable pet fee to cover additional cleaning and maintenance costs.
- Behavior and Responsibility: Guests are responsible for the behavior and supervision of their service animals or ESA’s. Any damages caused by the animal will be the responsibility of the guest.
